How much is a speeding fine?
News reports on L.I. 2519 say GH¢120 for the 1st to 3rd offence, then GH¢180 and GH¢240. Your SMS and *220# show your real amount.
The Police page says amounts are set in the Road Traffic Regulations (L.I. 2519). It does not list them.

| 4th | GH¢180 |
| 5th | GH¢240 |
| 6th within 24 months | Court. Licence suspended at least 12 months, plus retraining |
Conflict: some reports quote MTTD as "20 penalty units (GH¢240) for every 5 km/h over the limit". These two do not match. Confirm the amount on your own SMS by dialling *220# or calling 059 692 2402.
Each offence gets its own Ticket Number, even if two happen on one trip.
If you do not pay in 14 days, the fine grows by 1% a day. See the 1% page.
The amount *220# shows is the one that counts. Not ours.
