How TraffiTech-GH fines work
Since late 2026, Ghana Police cameras catch speeding cars. The owner of the car gets an SMS. It is called an ENV (Electronic Notice of Violation).
You have 14 days to pay or contest. After that, the fine grows by 1% every day.
Scammers copy these messages. Before you pay anything, check three things:
- The sender name says GPS-MTTD.
- There is no link in the message.
- Dial *220# to see if the fine is really on your car.
Paste the SMS into the checker above, or send it to Troski on WhatsApp. We tell you if it has scam signs. We do not see police records. We cannot see your fines. We never take money.
Quick answers
Is Troski Drive part of Ghana Police?
No. Troski Drive is an independent guide. It is not affiliated with Ghana Police, MTTD or DVLA, and it never takes fine payments.
Can Troski check if I have a fine?
No. Troski cannot see police records. Dial *220# with your car number or licence number to check, or call the Call Centre on 059 692 2402.
How long do I have to pay a TraffiTech-GH fine?
14 days from the notice date to pay or contest. After that, 1% of the original fine is added every day.
Where do I pay a TraffiTech-GH fine?
The Police page lists two ways: the website traffitech-ghpay.nib.com.gh (type it yourself) and the USSD code *710*0#. Never send MoMo to a personal number.
Does the checker send my SMS anywhere?
No. The checker on this page runs on your phone. The text you paste never leaves your phone.
Why check a fine SMS with Troski instead of just reading it?
Fake fine SMS are made to look real, and one wrong letter in a link is easy to miss when you are worried about a fine. Troski checks the sender, links and look-alike sites, "pay in 48 hours for 50% off" tricks, MoMo to a personal number and wrong dates, in seconds. It is free and never asks for money, a PIN or a code. It does not replace the official check: always confirm on *220#.
What happens to a fine SMS I forward to Troski on WhatsApp?
We keep only the scam signs it showed (for example "has a link" or "offers a discount"), the website name in any link, the amount and the answer we gave. We never keep the SMS text, your car number, the ticket number or any phone number. When drivers tell us an SMS was a scam, we use those signs to warn other drivers. No AI model is trained on your messages.
