Short answer

Dial *220# on any phone, pick fines, and type your car number or licence number. No data needed.

You can check for unpaid fines on any phone. You do not need data.

Steps

  1. Dial *220#.
  2. Pick the option for fines.
  3. Type your car number (plate) or your driver's licence number.
  4. Read the result.

Type the plate the way it is on your DVLA papers. For example: GR 1234-24.

If a fine shows: note the Ticket Number. You can pay or contest. You have 14 days from the notice date.

If no fine shows: do not pay any SMS that asks for money. It may be a scam. A real fine can take some time to appear. If you are not sure, call the Call Centre on 059 692 2402.

You can also see the photo or video proof online. Go to traffitech-ghpay.nib.com.gh and enter your Ticket Number.
